Relationship
Relational Theory & Alliance
The therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone to meaningful care. This alliance is also a key indicator of positive treatment outcomes in psychiatric recovery and change. Informed by relational theory, my work depends on a trustworthy and safe therapeutic relationship.
Environment
Ecological Theory & Exposure Therapy
The treatment environment is of the most important factors on treatment outcomes. It is difficult for people to translate recovery from highly restrictive environments to their home community. This lens honors the ecosystem of systems within which an individual wants to make change AND build a life.
Intervention
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT treats the behavioral and emotional dysregulation that can disrupt the quality of life of the person in recovery.
Justice
Agency & Self-Determination
Agency and self-determination are critical in a person achieving a sustianed recovery. The
work focuses on mitigating harm while keeping trust intact and maintaing safety.
